CDI

CDI is a niche player in the BI field. The GlobalSuite™ platform easily consumes data from disparate data sources to be presented for analysis via the GlobalSuite™ Application Control Center, interactive 2D/3D Graphical Analysis Interface, user-friendly report libraries and ad hoc report analysis module. The ability to receive data from a proprietary’s player tracking system and merging it with slot data provides a robust and expandable analysis tool, at sensible pricing, to meet current and future requirements.

Qlik

According to Qlik, they are “the most flexible Business Intelligence platform for turning data into knowledge.” More than 24,000 organisations worldwide have enabled their users to easily consolidate, search, and visually analyse all of their data for unprecedented business insight using Qlik’s simplicity. Taking just minutes to learn, the automatic associations of QlikView create endless possibilities for making ad hoc queries without requiring tediously defined structures and hierarchies, as is typical in other data analysis tools. QlikView promotes unrestricted analysis of application data, helping users make time-saving and accurate decisions. QlikView brings a whole new level of analysis, insight, and value to existing data stores with user interfaces that are clean, simple, and straightforward. Intelligencia has been partnered with Qlik for over 5 years and our consultants are experts in creating highly visual dashboards that surface data efficiently while utilizing Qlik's powerful associative engine as efficiently as possible. 

SAP

SAP has been investing heavily in SAP Lumira to establish a presence in the rapidly growing data discovery market, where demand is high for BI tools that empower business users to self-serve without being restricted to a centrally governed semantic layer and IT-managed content. Lumira has been the focus of aggressive product development (including some "smart data discovery" features) and marketing efforts, which are expected to continue, with functional enhancements planned for both the desktop and cloud versions, along with the release of Lumira Server, which will run natively on the SAP HANA platform. SAP is widely used to embed BI content, but is not widely used by customers to embed advanced (predictive and prescriptive) analytic content. However, this capability is a key strategic aim for SAP, with both HANA and KXEN, which it acquired in 2013, at its core. 

SAS

Intelligencia has over 10 years of experience working with the SAS toolsets so we have seen the evolution of SAS’s BI platform up close and personal from its infancy. According to Gartner, “SAS's analytics portfolio spans platforms for BI, performance management, data warehousing, in-memory databases, data integration, data quality, and content and social analytics. However, unlike most other BI platform vendors, SAS's core strength is in its advanced analytical techniques, such as data mining, predictive modeling, simulation and optimization, for which it is acknowledged as a Leader in the "Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms." Historically, SAS tools have been used primarily by power users, data scientists and IT-centric BI developers. That this remains the case is shown by SAS customers placing it above any other vendor in the Magic Quadrant survey in terms of support for complex types of analysis, but giving it one of the lowest scores for ease of use. 

Spotfire

According to Forrester, TIBCO Software is back as a Leader for full-spectrum data visualization and analytics. After a brief slowdown due to the company’s privatization in 2014 and the associated management and key personnel changes, TIBCO Spotfire is back in the market as a formidable player in full spectrum analytics, from basic descriptive analytics to advanced data visualization and predictive analytics. Forrester’s evaluation gave Spotfire top scores for advanced analytics and ease of use. Customer references also rated Spotfire highly for quick time-to-value, scalability, data visualization, end user self-service, and cloud/hybrid architecture. In this world of modern BI, Gartner rewards smart data discovery, self-contained data prep, interactive visualization, embedded advanced analytics, analytic dashboards, and collaboration, along with platform capabilities such as workflow, architecture, security and data source connectivity all as criteria in their MQ evaluation.

Tableau

Tableau offers an intuitive, visual-based interactive data exploration experience that customers rate highly, and that competitors, large and small, try to imitate. Customers remain extremely happy with Tableau (for the fourth year in a row), particularly with its core differentiator — making a range of types of analysis (from simple to complex) accessible and easy for the ordinary business user, whom Tableau effectively transforms into a "data superhero." Tableau's strong market understanding — as defined by meeting dominant and mainstream buying requirements for ease of use, breadth of use and enabling business users to perform more complex types of analysis without extensive skills or IT assistance — and competitive differentiation continue to increase its momentum, even though it operates in an increasingly crowded market in which most other vendors view it as a target. Tableau has a focused vision with an evolutionary road map for enabling users to meet enterprise requirements for reusability, scalability and embeddability.
